I’ve been out of touch for a couple weeks because I completed the house exterior painting! I selected four colors and really love the change from the tired chalk-white and green to white hyacinth, roycroft pewter, and calico.
Inside, Outside
I actually used Sherwin Williams white hyacinth on the exterior walls like I did on the interior walls. I loved that it came from their historic color options as did the other exterior house colors I selected. The deck is a lighter shade of gray (kings canyon), but it adds a nice dimension to the front of the house.
Andrew helped with the really tricky areas at the roofline. I was very uncomfortable being up that high and I don’t like being on the roof. He doesn’t like heights either, but he is braver than I am!
What’s Next
The garage (really a shed size) is next on the list of exterior painting tasks. I need to get this done this week as Sherwin Williams has 35% off paint right now and if I need another gallon I’d like the discount! If you want to see more of our reovations you can see some of the interior flooring here.
