Curtains 3: all together now

Living in 400 square feet means we use the same space for a number of purposes. The Murphy bed is essentially in the living room, and when the sun rises early during the summer, the window blinds do not darken the sleeping space sufficiently. So, playful quilty curtains were designed. This project gave me the opportunity to learn how to use patterns provided by MQG and to use fun improv techniques as well.

The curtain on the right is Slice of Happiness by Stacey Day, and the one on the left is Honeycomb by Magdalena Langa (both published on the MQG site). The backs with the black trim are the strip piecing from previous posts and another post), and I have decided not to quilt these as of now, and have not included batting between them. One day, I would like to attach them to the rod in a different way, but for now, they are cute and function well when we need darkness to rest!
