F wannabe kings

The machine-applied words used as quilting include: compassion, mutual aid, rebel loon, ICE unconstitutional, democracy distressed, ICE out, Minnesota strong, no kings, and WTF.

I began with viewing images that felt significant and also representative of the moment, created my own drawings, traced them onto the background, Steam-a-seam/raw-edge applique (the second attempt using this method), machine (domestic) zig-zag stitched, quilted stitch-in-the-ditch style over the zigzag, and appliqued words as a part of the quilting.
